Guy Mintus Trio "A Home In Between" - CD Pre-release Show Israeli artist Guy Mintus will join forces with some of Poland's finest for an evening of imagination and song. Currently based in New York city, Guy Mintus has been described as "brilliant musician, who melds a multicultural vision with the passion and fury of the jazz greats" (Tom Henry, Toledo Blade). Winner of the 2nd prize+the audience's choice at the Montreux Jazz Festival's solo piano competition, Guy has shared the stage with the likes of Trilok Gurtu, Jon Hendricks, Arturo O'Farrill among many others. In his own signature style he weaves together elements from Stride Piano to Ottoman Makams, Indian rhythms to Bach-styled counterpoint, Spanish Flamenco to Jewish melodies. "Guy is mad scientist" stated Grammy winning pianist and composer Arturo O'Farrill, "none does it like him". Along with re-imaginations of well known songs the Trio will also play compositions from Guy's debut Trio album "A Home In Between" to be released this summer (early copies will be available at the show!).
